This is a *chef’s kiss* reading list, and I’m so glad that there happen to be some fiction novels included! Sometimes trying to get myself to read non-fiction is like pulling teeth, and then I absorb none of what I’ve read😅
Also happy to report that I recently bought joyful militancy because of how you’ve talked about it on Instagram, so here’s hoping I’ll get some of the guidance from it (or it inspires me to find guidance in other places) that I desperately need💗
yess I honestly believe we as a society need to validate reading fiction more as a way of building different mindsets and worlds, stories are so powerful. I hope you LOVE Joyful Militancy!!
💜💜💜 so many goodies in here. I read Joyful Militancy earlier this year and gahhhh it was such a balm for my grieving, burnt out “leftist” (whatever that means) heart. Have you read any Eli Clare?? Incredible trans disabled scholar whose writing interweaves disability, queerness and ecology so beautifully. “brilliant imperfection” will always be on MY personal syllabus ❤️🔥 📖

Do you use StoryGraph or goodreads or any other app to track what you’re reading?
