Thank you for a little hope in a Saturday morning. What an excellent comparison. Living blue in a red state as a lifelong educator, I have had many times that my efforts felt fruitless. Thanks for building us back up with your writing. All is not lost.

Thank you so much writing this, not only was it beautiful, but it reminded me the importance of pushing through it all. I also can’t help but think about the Cow Bird. there’s some kind of wisdom in laboring to create a thing that doesn’t turn out to be The Thing We Thought We We’re Creating, but is still Life, is still worthy and doesn’t mean we did something wrong or failed…

Such a beautiful story. Reminds me when a baby bunny nest in my backyard was ravaged by a crow family. It was tragic and heartbreaking and confusing. Springtime is a wild ride.
